Overview

DGC owned 30% of the Central Alabama Generating Station near Billingsley in Autauga County, Alabama until our interests were sold to our partner Tenaska in 2012.

Central Alabama is an 885-megawatt (MW), natural gas, combined-cycle electric generation station, which includes three General Electric (GE) Frame 7FA gas turbines, three heat recovery steam generators and one GE steam turbine. The facility has a long-term energy conversion agreement with Shell Energy North America (US), L.P. (Shell) for the generating station’s entire production, enough to power more than 885,000 homes.
