Overview

DGC owned 14% of the Ferndale Cogeneration Station until the plant was sold to long-time power customer Puget Sound Energy, Inc. (PSE) in 2012. Going on line in 1994, the cogeneration plant is able to provide power for up to 270,000 homes and steam to the adjacent Phillips 66 oil refinery.

The facility had no work-related injuries or illnesses resulting in days away from work. In 2008, the plant received the nation’s highest safety honor, the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Voluntary Protection Programs Star Worksite designation.
